Meal Planning for Mommas who hate it!

Meal prep… like whose got time for that?! Well the way I look at it, no one, but it can help you save time during the week and on busier nights, or when you just don’t feel like it! And it doesn’t have to be anything fancy or difficult!

Weekly meal plan for busy moms!

Whenever I have a spare minute, which is hardly ever, I try utilizing it in the kitchen. It’s basically the heart of the household. There are so many ways to meal prep or plan and it can be fun! Maybe it’s more fun for those of us that actually like to cook. I don’t mind cooking I just hate all the dishes that follow!

Breakfast I would say is the easiest for me! I make lots of breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, breakfast bowls, or just have a lot of toast or fruit handy! These are all protein packed and give a great start to the day while cutting down on that morning rush to get everyone out of the house. Grab, heat, and go!

Lunches are also not too hard to make ahead of time. If you work outside the home, or if you are a stay at home mom, what’s better than already having it ready? If you’re at home and the kids are napping, you don’t have to waste all that time making your lunch, and you can actually enjoy it! I make a lot of wraps, pita bread pizzas, quesadillas, and these all can be made quickly, and heated up in the air fryer!

Dinner! This one is a little more tricky. One kid doesn’t want it, or the husband had a lunch catered in at work and isn’t hungry. Well I would say if you can dedicate time to make about three different choices and can freeze them, then you have some things on hand. Or if you’re really not feeling it, throw in a pizza! I always like having chicken, pork loin, or a pound of beef de thawing. You can set it in the fridge the night before, and if your other meals are prepped then you can use that little spare time to put something in the crock pot, or prepare the majority of it for later!

I usually try to bulk grocery shop if I’m able to. That way I can get everything for that up coming week that I may need, and hopefully save some of that precious time! Every home is different, but for when it comes to meal planning for mommas who hate it, I hope some of this was useful to you!
